Good news for T-Mobile Galaxy S8 and S8+ users : the Android 8.0 Oreo testing phase just began for Galaxy S8 and S8+ flagships on T-Mobile. The support pages for Galaxy S8 as well as Galaxy S8+ show that the latest update is currently in testing phase.
So the Oreo update will be rolled out to select Galaxy S8 and S8+ users in a few hours and if all goes well, merely in a few weeks all the T-Mobile Galaxy S8 and S8+ users will receive the consumer version of the update. In addition to Galaxy S8 series, Galaxy S7 series and Note 8 on T-Mobile will receive the update in coming days.
Previously, Samsung did a testing of Oreo for Unlocked Galaxy S8 and S8+ users in the US and the Beta test finished on January 26th, but till now no word about the release dates of Consumer Version. So it seems that in very near future both unlocked and carrier Galaxy S8 and S8+ users will taste the Oreo update.
With the Android Oreo update, Galaxy S8 and S8+ users will get many exciting features. New keyboard with massive improvements is one of them. New high-contrast themes, support for Emoji set 5.0 and a new toolbar to assist in typing quickly, have added to the Keyboard. The users can instantly send GIFs with the new keyboard.
With Edge lighting effects, a new look will come to Galaxy S8 and S8+ devices. In Android Oreo, The users can hide any albums in the stock Gallery. The standard features of Oreo, app shortcuts, Notification snooze are also coming to Samsung’s flagships.
Along with above improvements, the update also contains refined Samsung Dex and Color Gamut too. Securtiy features also very well improved in the Android 8.0 Oreo update.
