HTC started rolling out the Android 8.0 update for HTC U11 in November and now the rollout spread to EMEA region. So HTC U11 users in Europe, Africa and Middle East are getting the latest Android version. The version of the update is 2.33.401.10.
The size of the update is 1.31 GB and it is a huge update. So before downloading the update check the free space and Battery levels. We recommend users to charge the battery atleast upto 80% before beginning the download. It may take some time to appear the update notification because it is a phased rollout. So users have to wait patiently for some time.
The update includes all the new features of Android Oreo and other system enhancements. There is also a new security patch in the update but we are not sure at the moment whether it is December’s or January’s.
Till now unlocked variants and USA carrier locked variants of HTC U11 got the update. The update includes many awesome features of Oreo like Picture in Picture mode, Notification channels, Notification Dots and optimizations to battery etc.
