The Moto G6 Plus is the upcoming mid-ranger with interesting specs and new thin bezel design. Last year, Moto launched G5 Plus and G5S Plus devices which were very good, according to consumers. Now with G6 Plus, the Lenovo owned company is going to introduce a new design and refined Camera setup.
Recent leaks suggested that Motorola is going to bring the next mid-range series at MWC 2018 which is going to take place from February 26th to March 1st. The leaked pictures completely reveal the design of G6 Plus ahead of the launch. According to the leaks, G6 Plus is coming with the design similar to that of Moto X4. If we look at the leaked spec sheet, G6 Plus will be powered by Snapdragon 630, 4GB Ram, 3200 mAh battery, Dual Camera setup etc.

Moto G6 Plus Display and Design
Motorola unveiled Moto G5 Plus and G5S Plus smartphones with 5.2 inch and 5.5 inch screens respectively. In G5S Plus, the lenovo owned company brought some drastic changes in design to increase the screen to body ratio to 71%.
Moto G6 Plus we might see some major design changes which improve grip, screen to body ratio and appearance. The G6 Plus probably be unveiled with 5.5 inch IPS LCD Display with 1080p or FullHD resolution just like its predecessor. But Motorola might refine the brightness and contrast of the display panel to decrease the black point.
Moto G6 Plus Performance
The G5 Plus and G5S Plus mid-rangers are powered by Snapdragon 625 chipset and provide fluid like user experience without any lags in day-to-day activities. The next mid-range flagship from Motorola might be powered by Snapdragon 630 SoC which is an upper mid-range tier chipset. The Snapdragon 630 mobile platform offers very good single core and multi-core performance.

The Snapdragon 630 is an Octa-Core chipset, which is clocked at 2.2 Ghz and can even compete with high-end chipsets in performance. Due to SD630, Moto G6 Plus will offer 30% more performance than its predecessor, according to analysts. The latest upper mid-range flagship from Motorola, Moto X4 also powered by SD630 SoC.
Moto G6 Plus AI support
The Snapdragon 630 chipset which will power the G6 Plus contains exclusive AI processing support and neural networks support. The Hexagon 642 DSP of SD630 sports Qualcomm All-Ways Aware Technology, Snapdragon Neural Processing Engine SDK, Caffe/Caffe2 and Tensorflow support.

Qualcomm X12 LTE Modem
The Snapdragon 630 Mobile Platform contains X12 LTE Modem, which supports whooping 300Mbps Cat.12 LTE download speeds with 3x20Mhz carrier aggregation. The Modem also supports Cat.13 upload speeds upto 150Mbps with 2×20 Mhz carrier aggregation and Snapdragon Upload+ support. So Moto G6 Plus will give lightening fast download and upload speeds on supported LTE network.
Motorola released G5 Plus in 2GB and 4GB Ram variants, G5S Plus in 3GB and 4GB Ram variants. In the case of G6 Plus, we probably see 4GB and 6GB Ram variants. Due to 6GB Ram, G6 Plus will offer robust multi-tasking support and superfast performance.
Moto G6 Plus Camera
Motorola employed the Dual Camera setup in the latest G5S Plus mid-ranger. The Moto G5S Plus sports Dual 13MP sensors with and f/2.0 aperture on the rear side and 8MP single sensor with f/2.0 aperture and wide angle lens on the front side. So with dual Camera setup on the rear side, G5S Plus is able to produce a decent Bokeh effect (blurring of background) and capture gorgeous shots. The users can also shoot 4K videos at 30fps. But some times, the pictures captured in low-light are filled with noice, according to the users.
So Motorola may develop a better camera for G6 Plus with many improvements. Moto G6 Plus most likely to arrive with 12MP or 13MP Dual sensor setup on the rear side with dual LED flash. Android 8.1 Oreo
Moto G5S Plus and G5S devices arrived with pre-installed Android 7.1.1 Nougat and will receive the Android 8.0 Oreo update soon. The Moto G6 Plus mid-ranger will come with Android 8.1 Oreo, according to some tech analysts. Google released the first and second developer previews of Android 8.1 and is going for consumer launch in December 2017.
The Android 8.1 update contains awesome features like Neural Network API, Bluetooth battery levels, Night mode, Refined Power Menu, Buttery smooth scrolling and so on. With Neural network API, Moto G6 Plus users will be able to enjoy Apps with much advanced machine learning. The Bluetooth battery levels in Quick Settings toggles feature facilitates to check the battery level of Bluetooth instantly from the home screen. Moto G6 Plus Release Date
According to some tech analysts, Motorola will launch the successor of Moto G5S Plus at MWC 2018 which is going take place at Barcelona, Spain. So the shipping of G6 Plus might begin in late-March 2018. The next mid-range flagship from Motorola probably land in the US soil in April. Battery
Motorola used 3000 mAh battery in Moto G5 Plus, G5S Plus and Moto X4 mid-rangers. In the successor of Moto G5 Plus, Motorola may use bigger battery because of the power hungry chipset.
According to tech analysts, the next mid-range flagship from Motorola might be powered by 3300 or 3500 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery. The Battery of Moto G6 Plus will be compatible with Qualcomm Quick Charge technology and charges faster compared to its predecessor. Moto G6 Plus Price
In the US, Moto G5S Plus with 4GB Ram is currently priced at $300 while the 3GB Ram variant priced at $230. Obviously, the successor of G5S Plus will come with a higher price tag. So we might see G6 Plus with 6GB Ram with a price tag of $400 and the 4GB Ram variant might cost upto $300. The official price list of Moto G6 Plus will be revealed in coming days.

According to Droidlife, Moto G6 Plus could come with massive 5.93 inch display and 18:9 aspect ratio, which is the latest trend. The alleged images of Moto G6 Plus are appeared on Reddit. In the images show the 18:9 ratio of the G6 Plus and the design is very similar to Moto X4, and not looking as gorgeous, according to the feedback from some consumers.
Droidlife says that the upcoming mid-ranger from Motorola will be powered by Snapdragon 630 SoC and sport 3200mAh battery. The mid-ranger may come in 6GB, 4GB and 3GB Ram variants. The price of G6 Plus probably starts from $330 which is much higher than its predecessor. Motorola will announce the G6 Plus officially at MWC 2018 on March. So more details about Moto G6 Plus will be revealed in coming days.
Update on 5/3/2018 :
Unexpectedly, Moto G6 lineup was not announced at MWC 2018, so probably in coming weeks, Motorola may unveil it. Now the live pictures of Moto G6 Play leaked in the wild through the filing to NCC. The blog Trendytechz first leaked the images of NCC filing of G6 Play. So it seems that the Moto G6 Plus lineup might arrive in late-March or Early-April.
In the leaked image of G6 Play, the design of the flagship appears clearly. The lenovo owned tech giant adapted the design of Moto X4 for its upcoming G6 linup. More details about the design of Moto G6 Plus will be revealed, once Motorola launches it.
Update on 3/4/2018 :
According to an online retailer in the USA, the Moto G6 and G6 Play devices will arrive in mid-May. The FRY’s Electronics website show the specifications and price list of these two devices. Unfortunately, shortly after we have noticed the pages, they were removed as Motorola is yet to make an annoncement on G6 series.
The specs appear that both devices sport 18:9 Max Vision display, G6 will be powered by SD 450 while the Play version powered by SD 427. The Moto G6 Play priced at $199 while G6 at $249.
Update on 19/4/2018 :
Motorola announced the G6 lineup today at Sao Paulo, Brazil. In line with the earlier leaks, Moto G6 Plus arrived with 6 inch LCD display with 18:9 aspect ratio and FHD+ resolution, making a feast to eyes. The mid-ranger is powered by Snapdragon 630 chipset clocked at 2.2 Ghz and boasts 6GB Ram. According to estimates, the phone comes with a price tag of 300EUR in Europe and $300 in the US. This translates to about Rs. 19800 in India.
In Brazil, sales are going to start today and in coming weeks the G6 Plus will hit shelves in Europe and India. Moto says that the G6 Plus won’t come to states atleast this time.
